Learning outcome unit:
On completion of this unit , a student shall be able to:
a) Ability to know knowledge about groundwater and about its quantity and depth of occurrence that is required in connection with water supply irrigation, excavation and may other engineering works.
b) Ability to know the knowledge of engineering geology for major engineering projects such as dam, tunnel, road and bridge which is directly connected with the geology of the area where they are to be built.
c) Ability to understand the mechanical properties of rock materials and their laboratory testing commonly used in engineering practice
d) Ability to understand the rock fracture, rock mass and their rock mass classification system for various engineering design and stability
Ability to understand and learn design, analysis of rock foundation, slopes, tunnels and rock support
